So I recently noticed that FL Wright's Ennis-Brown House is Harrison Ford's apartment in Blade Runner.
...got me thinking of all the other notable architecture in movies I've noticed. I know Pierre Koenig's Case Study House No. 22 is in a shit-ton of movies...
Any other cool one's you can think of?

Massive renovation, like in Inside Man makes it hard to pinpoint locations:
Quote : | "Scouting had zeroed in on the perfect stand-in for Branch Number 32 of Manhattan Trust—the bank’s main set was located in a former Wall Street bank that had been closed and later repurposed as a cigar bar. Thomas and his team were responsible for a major undertaking, charged with restoring the former bank to its 1920s grandeur and architectural integrity. “This movie takes place in the world of old New York money,” Thomas explains, “so we had to do extensive renovations to make the first floor look like an old-fashioned institution of money and power—it’s where the robbers first hold their hostages.”" |

Love Actually:
Selfridges Department Store, where the infamous necklace in the movie was procured.
Looks like it has a swanky new location in Birmingham, which I haven't seen in a movie yet:

^good call. also there are tons of "new" buildings in commercials, esp car commercials like the caltrans building for some car and the guggenheim in bilbao for another one (actually for a lot of things) 8/22/2006 8:50:30 PM |
