someone just called me and said they have a dell laptop and their pcmcia slot or whatever is a non-standard size. and supposedly its not something proprietary. just the wrong size and not supported by dell (wtf right)
dont have much experience with laptops, is this something anyone has heard of? i assumed all those slots were the same till i heard this. just looking for a NIC that will fit this slot. thx

hahhaha hell it could be... im just gonna pick it up tomorrow and i'll check it out myself. but supposedly she has taken it all over the place and tried to find a NIC for it, and hasnt been able to find one yet
so youd think that if it was something silly like that, someone would have said so by now 8/14/2006 10:35:27 PM |

im a big fan of going for the easiest, most obvious thing first and working from there
no need to make it more complicated than it has to be

i cant believe it took 7 responses to get to this. its called expresscard, the replacement for pcmcia as far as i can tell. i dont see why they went to all the trouble seeing as how that slot is becoming less and less important but whatever.
all i know is shits a pain in the ass.
