So I was playing BF2 yesterday and at a certain point, my saitek x52 flickered all its lights, the backlit LCD display on the throttle turned off and my fucking joystick zapped me through the pinky switch button. It was substantial enough for me to let go and go 'ouch motherfucker!'. The stick went dead for a second, then came back to life and continued normally sans the LCD backlight.
My question is, is this a hardware problem (either with the js or the computer) or is this a vista/windows driver issue perhaps? Has anyone ever heard of this? 8/15/2006 9:06:47 AM |

actually, it seems to be related to USB.
WHen the "zap" happens (I can hear it even when I don't feel it, and the LCD backlight goes out) all USB devices disconnect, then reconnect.
Apparently I'm not the only one with this model dell with USB dying issues. 8/15/2006 10:11:35 PM |

There is no way this is related to drivers. 8/15/2006 11:23:00 PM |
