So I open up firefox after I restart my computer and it has forgotten all my favorites, it won't open in tabs, etc. Anyone ever had this happen? Thanks 8/28/2006 11:22:31 AM |

try restarting again
if not
export favorites
uninstall
download latest version
reinstall
restart
import favorites
it also depends if you have the right 'firefox user' activated or something, i dont remember exactly 8/28/2006 11:28:18 AM |

sounds like your user profile got reset or something.
it's likely that your original profile is still intact and fine, with all your favorites and settings and stuff. Open the FF profile manager by going to the command prompt (Start > Run - cmd) and type firefox.exe -ProfileManager
that will open up a small FF window with all your profiles. If you have multiple profiles, open different ones and see which one is right. Then restart into profile manager and delete the ones you don't need and set the default again. 8/28/2006 11:37:56 AM |

Thanks for the tips, I really just need to be able to "open in tabs." I only had 10 or so favorite websites, which I just bookmarked again. Right now, tt is not allowing me to open in tabs when I right click on the bar, I can't remember if there was an extension the first time I installed it, or firefox just let me open in tabs without having to install an extension 8/28/2006 12:05:57 PM |
