favre isn't actually looking bad, his line sucks and his recievers can't catch, but he looks better than he did last year.

I know it's just the Packers and it's just preseason, but somebody's gonna have to tear carson's acl again if they want to win the super bowl.

Dude, its the Packers.

Rivers looked as good a few weeks ago as Carson Palmer yesterday against the Packers, and he didn't have Gates or LT.

Was it just me or did they pretty much suck Palmer's dick for the entire first half last night?

I mean yeah he's a great QB, seems like a good guy, and I really like him and Chad Johnson as a duo, but c'mon. Last week Daunte Culpepper came back from tearing EVERYTHING in his knee and they didn't blow him like this. Yes Culpepper had roughly 2 more months but he also tore everything in his knee, switched teams, and had his comeback in the same place where he got hurt.

I think they should have praised both and talked about how great of a comeback it was, but c'mon, the entire first half? They were praising Palmer when he was handing the ball off.

At least it was relevant, since he was dominating. It seemed like Joe was still trying to blow Favre as much as possible, in spite of Tony (and favre's pathetic play) mocking him.

it's easier to praise palmer because he had a great season (32TD 12INT, 101.1 rating) and got injured and culpepper had a horrible season (6TD 12INT, 72.0 rating) before he was injured

also the comeback point was easier to recognize for palmer because he took it easy until he jumped into yesterday's game whereas culpepper worked in camp and preseason nearly fully recovered, making palmer's comeback seem more dramatic

^wtf are you talking about

Palmer had 2 less months than CPep to get back. He had also been taking 70% of the reps in camp.

Yeah Palmer didn't really miss much of anything, Culpepper missed the entire season last year. Palmer was there during training camp throwing the ball and everything else. Last night was the first night he'd been hit, but how many QB's do you think get hit in the entire training camp? None.

I don't see the big deal, I mean I understand the injury is a bad one and a tough one to overcome, but I thought Culpepper's knee was in much worse shape than Palmers?

Palmer deserves credit, but hopefully that first half was enough for those guys, let's hope they aren't blowing him about his knee like this the rest of the season.

I just couldn't figure out why he only threw one ball Chad's way and it was a bouncer.

^ um the guy above you just said it.

Palmer might a lightning fast recovery. His knee was shredded. All of the doctors were saying it was one of the worst they'd ever seen...

Trivia question, who was the first (and only to my knowledge) player to tear his ACL and then play again the same season?
