But Kerry's e-mail says Blackwell "used his office to abuse our democracy and threaten basic voting rights." Multiple lawsuits by outside groups were unsuccessful in challenging Ohio's 2004 election. One case filed by the League of Women Voters is still in U.S. District Court in Toledo. It claims Ohio's election system discriminates against minority voters. Blackwell, who is black, says the election was run fairly, citing 1 million more votes cast than in 2000 and record turnout among black voters. "People will say anything for money," Blackwell campaign spokesman Carlo LoParo said. "Fortunately, the historical record contradicts Senator Kerry." Strickland spokesman Keith Dailey said the campaign welcomes Kerry's support. "

she's the frontrunner by a long shot. Of course, that leaves 60% to others, but that's pretty high.

Interestingly enough McCain is the major republican frontrunner and has been getting more and more bets every day. I think its because his recent statements opposing the president are setting him up for grabbing moderate votes.

Another interesting wrinkle. If you look at the election winning party, the democrats are a point or two higher. If you break it down by candidate, though, McCain leads Clinton by a fair mark.

Most Democrats are moderates, such as much as most Republicans are moderates. Do you ever even think about what you are saying and try to analyze it for bias? You cannot just make up things off the top of your head and say its the truth. Everyone of your posts have been nothing but outright lies.

But that begs the question: Who do the Democrats have in 2008? Howard Dean? Ha! One guy said of Dean that he just couldn't vote for somebody who might have rabies. How about Al "An Inconvenient Truth--You Lost!" Gore? Jokey-joke time! You could run John "The Breck Girl" Edwards, right? I mean, they gave him that poverty center position over at UNC. Hell, with Edwards workin' on poverty night and day, how is it possible that there are any poor people left? And what about Hillary? Please! Why don't you just give the '08 presidency to the Republicans--it'll be faster.

^ Don't mock the Democratic field yet. There's former Virginia Governor Mark Warner, a very strong and popular centrist in a traditional Republican stronghold. You also have Senator Barack Obama of Illinois, a very sharp and charismatic figure who is considered one of the great rising political stars. Those two alone could dramatically shift the field.

Yes, but the proverbial elephant in the room--or should that be jackass in the room--Hillary Clinton is likely going to stomp any chance of either of those people from being successful in a primary.

I'm convinced Obama's not setting up shop for '08. I could be completely off base, but that's my impression.

I'm concerned that the Democrats are going to stupidly side with name recognition this time instead of electibility. I only have a limited impression of Gov. Warner (which I'm off to correct), but he already has a better shot at getting elected than Sen. Clinton.

Those are the best two web sites for information on candidates and representatives that I've seen in recent years.

And unfortunately, neither tell you anything about Mark Warner since he's no longer a governor. I'll PM you if I can find something worthwhile.
