do any of you use any type of software for keeping your schedules and to-do lists? I'm looking for one that will allow me to input multiple tasks per day, and have a check-off system that i can record when I finish assignments.
know of any freeware or anything? 8/30/2006 10:32:05 PM |

thunderbird? note I don't know if it has scheduling. 8/30/2006 10:39:04 PM |

thunderbird doesn't have scheduling or to-do list functions built-in. there's an add-on from mozilla.org that lets you integrate scheduling stuff, such as a calendar, but it's really really rough.
might be good to look at something like google calendar. 8/30/2006 11:38:44 PM |

outlook of course there's tons of freeware solutions but nothing quite as good.
MonoCalendar was marketed as the iCal equivalent for windows ( http://www.lifehacker.com/software/top/download-of-the-day-monocalendar-168865.php ) but it looked pretty bad when i downloaded it.
the only thing keeping me attached to outlook is the calendar.
for my to-do lists i keep a nice excel sheet that i update weekly since i couldn't find anything that had all the fields i needed in basecamp, tadalists, or any desktop client. 8/31/2006 1:26:38 AM |

i use google calendar so i can view it anywhere, and use the google calendar and todo list gadgets for google desktop so i can just hit shift-shift and my calendar and todo list pops up instantly:

Lifehacker.com is a fan of the "Getting Things done" philosophy. they have several scheduling applications here - http://lifehacker.com/software/getting-things-done/ , http://lifehacker.com/software/gtd/ 8/31/2006 11:01:44 AM |

if gcal could sync to my outlook, i'd use it too

Used to use it, but forgot all about it after several re-installs...
