When i run windows i cant get like 75% of the pages or images to load, i know they work because when I run linux they load just fine. I thought i had some spyware or something but i ran adaware and spybot and nothing came up besides a couple of tracking cookies.
The other problem is that i havent gotten videos to work properly in linux yet.
so it's really a toss up: use windows and get to view videos but not most pages or use linux and not get to use videos 9/3/2006 5:33:41 PM |

is it for all websites?
what kind of connection are you on?
maybe it's some sort of timeout setting in your drivers?
tried pinging the server to see if you have any packet loss? 9/4/2006 6:11:44 PM |

no, it really varies as to which website it is. It seems to be fairly random.
Time warner cable through a wired connection to a linksys router
my driver settings shouldnt have changed, nothing has changed since it started happening..
i'll ping the server via cmd next time i'm in windows and post the results.
I dont know if you saw but all broken pages/images work in linux but not in windows. 9/4/2006 8:18:52 PM |

Did the flushdns at the ipconfig and it helped a little bit, actually.
I ran hijackthis! and checked my hosts file and proxy (dont use one) and didnt find anything.
The problem has lessened, but is still there. I can usually get shit to work after a few reloads. 9/11/2006 11:19:07 PM |
