Like the title says, 52" Pioneer Premier Projection TV. It's about 8 years old, comes with a remote, it has picture in picture and numerous other options. It has a great picture but the red convergence is a little off. It would need to be looked at because i don't know how to fix the convergence. With that said, price is ridiculously cheap so make an offer and i'll consider, it just needs to be gone. Model number and pics coming as soon as i can find someone with a digital camera.

Ok update again, the make/model is a Pioneer Elite Projection TV and the Model Number is Pro-99. You should be able to look it up online and find the specs and what not.

Also, just to make sure i don't mislead anyone - i cannot get the red convergence to align so it will need to be looked at and repaired.

So far bmfurse has the tv for $200.

TV looks just like this and the casing is in great condition.

Well yeah once the red convergence is repaired then the picture looks great. Awesome for all the upcoming football games.

ok- well for those of us who are not familiar with the internal color operations and workings of late 90's model TV's
what exactly does the "red convergence" (in laymens terms) do to the picture?

Ok convergence, there are basically three color convergences that are supposed to be aligned in order for the picture to be crisp and clear. Those three colors are red, blue, and green. Green is internally set and cannot be moved, however red and blue can. The blue convergence works just fine and can be moved, however the red will not shift left or right - only up or down. Therefore all the red in the picture is shifted however so far.

It will require a card to be replaced or repaired. Minimum $150 + labor. Call any big screen TV repair for an estimate.

If you're lucky you'll get someone who can fix it for under $100. Just say you're a state student.

^ Get some 3D glasses and you'd be set... my roommates still watch it so it is still watchable... i just don't enjoy watching it... like i said, it needs to be repaired.

I am still interested in this so don;t get me wrong- but you should really let the people who have already given you offers that the picture is shit until it is fixed. in your original post you wrote:

Quote :
"It has a great picture but the red convergence is a little off."

which is not the same as:

Quote :
"Get some 3D glasses and you'd be set......it needs to be repaired."

see what I mean?

Yeah i gotcha, i'll restate:

"It has a great picture when performing normally, however the red convergence is off thus requiring some 3D glasses"

haha any better? If i can, i'll get a picture while the tv is on and try to post that just to clear up any questions about the current picture state.

I got my girlfriend a tv similar (same brand and model, older revision) to this and it had the same issue. I'll fix it for $100, $0 if I can't.

i mean- i am still interested man but i highly doubt anyone is gonna pay real money for a TV that has fucked up "red convergence" iue: u need 3d glasses to watch it and is now locked in standby-

I'll toss ya like $50 for it since it will prolly cost a couple hundred to fix.... no matter what offers you have previously posted that you have received I can;t imagine any of them will stick now

pm me and we can talk about it
