usc will have a dominant program as long as they dominate california recruiting. it is with texas and florida the top state for hs talent. may be better maybe worse but the difference is they dominate it.
florida is fsu miami uf but texas and cal are pretty polar right now.

until cal or ucla get really good usc will be dominant just like texas with tech and a&m

Some people think Iowa, Nebraska, and the Dakotas suck. Those people have not been to any of those places. I have friends as the Univ. of Iowa and Buena Vista College (NW Iowa, near South Dakota). They love it up there.

It will be interesting to see if Nebraska beats USC with their newly-found passing game. It would be surreal to see a traditional running team own a team that's developed so many QBs.

seems most of the time a program loses an icon of the game as a coach, it takes a few years of shock recovery/rebuilding to get back where it was, not unlike carolina basketball, except their rebuilding era ended 20 years too quickly
