If anyone is planning on coming up for the game, join us for the tailgate. We did a private tailgate 2 years ago and had about 70 people.....we are shooting for more this year. It's open to any wolfpack fan.
Because it's an official Alumni Association event, we can't provide alcohol....but you are welcome to bring your own (if you are of age of course ).9/18/2006 1:05:03 PM |

bring your bulletproof vest for this tailgate.... College Park is like an Americanized suburb of Tikrit or Fallujah. 9/18/2006 1:29:00 PM |

Man that was such a great game that year. We had front row tickets and all the Maryland fans yelled at us for standing up during the game.......That has to be the 1st stadium I've seen where the fans aren't on their feet. I still haven't seen the game on tape, my roommate and I were on TV that game. Then afterwards we rushed the field and it made it that much more memorable. I'll be unfortuantely studying for the FE the following Saturday. 10/12/2006 8:30:33 PM |

i don't have tickets either... they WILL be available outside the gates. Carter-Finley is sold completely out and I've never had trouble getting tickets here.
MD fans suck. There will be plenty of seats. 10/13/2006 10:49:40 AM |

I purchased some 5th row 50 yard line tickets, and may have some extras. I'll post here next week if I have any left. I'm contemplating buying tailgate tickets, and will likely sell them with the tickets if I do that. 10/13/2006 11:11:40 AM |

^im not very familiar with college park, so i can't help you out.
for all those that bought tailgate tickets:
Quote : | "WHO'S COMING: We've sold nearly 140 tailgate tickets so we're ecstatic about the size of the Wolfpack nation turnout as we invade College Park. We have fans from Maryland, Virginia, DC, and NC joining us. Let's be LOUD as we support the Pack in this critical road game, and turn it into a virtual home game for us!
WHEN: Gametime has been announced for Noon on Saturday, Oct 21. Parking lots open 6 hours before game time. Our tailgate crew will start setting up and reserving parking spaces at 7am. The caterers will have food set up and ready to serve by 8am. If you don't want to come out that early, the food will stay heated and available until about 11:15am.
WHERE: We'll be in Parking Lot 11B on the University of Maryland's campus. PLEASE SEE http://www.transportation.umd.edu/pdf/2006FootballMap.pdf for a campus parking map. Parking Lot 11B is a cash lot, no permit required. Come early if you want to park in this lot -- look out for the NC State group -- we should have a large banner that says NCSU Alumni Club. If you can't park in Lot 11B, just walk over! We'd appreciate anyone who wants to come out early to help us "block off" our section in the parking lot.
FOOD: Your tailgate ticket includes a pre-game meal of pulled pork BBQ (as close to NC-style as we can find in MD), pulled chicken BBQ, all the sides, and sweet tea -- as well as the companionship of 140 other NC State fans!
YOUR "TICKET": If you bought tickets online, please look for a "registration/check-in" table when you arrive -- we'll give you a wristband so you can get your food. If you bought your wristbands in person, PLEASE REMEMBER TO WEAR THEM!
OTHER LOGISTICS: Bring folding chairs if you want seating in the lot! We don't really have seating set up as part of our tailgate. Please note also that our tailgate is on, rain or shine.
Please email mdncsualumni@gmail.com if you have any other questions. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday! " |
