Just got the Band of Brothers box set.

I put the first disc in my laptop and it plays the intro nice and clear but the minute the movie starts it goes to a fuzzy screen.

Is this some type of protection junk?

what software are you using to playback the movie? Windows Media Player, WinDVD, ... there must be others too

put it in a real DVD player and see if it has any issues

I've noticed pretty big quality differences between PowerDVD and Windows Mediaplayer. Try a different player.
