This may be a simple one. I want to take a pdf document and make some changes to it so I am trying to copy and paste into word. Usually this works but in this document it wont allow me to hightlight the text. Any suggestions?

some pdfs are made by scanning the document, then saving the resulting image in a pdf, so that the pdf is not made up of text but one large image file. makes the text impossible to select

if this is the case you will have to ^^
or print a copy and see if OCR software can read it for you, I've never had much luck with that though

You don't have to print a copy to use OCR software. Why would you print an image file, and then scan it to create. . . another image file?
