Quote :
" Vehicle Condition Ratings
Check Vehicle Title History
Excellent
$14,780
"Excellent" condition means that the vehicle looks new, is in excellent mechanical condition and needs no reconditioning. This vehicle has never had any paint or body work and is free of rust. The vehicle has a clean title history and will pass a smog and safety inspection. The engine compartment is clean, with no fluid leaks and is free of any wear or visible defects. The vehicle also has complete and verifiable service records. Less than 5% of all used vehicles fall into this category.
Good
$13,810
"Good" condition means that the vehicle is free of any major defects. This vehicle has a clean title history, the paint, body and interior have only minor (if any) blemishes, and there are no major mechanical problems. There should be little or no rust on this vehicle. The tires match and have substantial tread wear left. A "good" vehicle will need some reconditioning to be sold at retail. Most consumer owned vehicles fall into this category.
Fair
$12,535
"Fair" condition means that the vehicle has some mechanical or cosmetic defects and needs servicing but is still in reasonable running condition. This vehicle has a clean title history, the paint, body and/or interior need work performed by a professional. The tires may need to be replaced. There may be some repairable rust damage."

I'm in no hurry to get rid of it, so I figured I'd see if any TWWers we're interested. I'm also trying Craigslist. Next week I'll probably put it in Autotrader. Closer to Christmas if it still isn't gone then I'll probably sell it to carmax if I can't sell it myself. This car is in pristine condition. We are selling because the wife needed a bigger vehicle. As much as I'd love to keep it I don't want 2 payments. I figured ask 15k and take 14.5k TWW special . NADA average TRADE is 14.5
KBB is always low. NADA is usually a little high.

I'm also in Charlotte so that probably makes it even harder to sell to a TWWer.

Also I still have CARFAX available for a couple more weeks so if anyone wants me to run one PM me with VIN and I'll get to it within the next day or so.

I just hate to trade this car in so a dealer can charge an arm-n-a-leg for it.

The car is 2 years 1 month old. 2005 model purchased in August 2004 shortly after it was released. You see the year is 2006 and you can find a used 2007 model with some miles on it. But it's not 2007 it's 2006 so one may think that the car is back from the future.

I paid $18,800 new thanks to incentives & rebates, which is probably one reason the value is what it is. You can spend several thousand more and get a brand new one. But for hold value...it's much better that many american cars.

Bad time of the year to be selling a car...I've got no calls from listing in Autotrader, even listing it at $14k except from some shady guy in ATL.
