Well that is because of the SOS. Pitt, RU, UL, and WVU haven't played each other yet at all. Once they do the SOS will shoot up..

Yes they are but if one team wins out then I'm saying they'd jump the 1 loss teams..

About SOS. It's not a main component but it's in every computer ranking, which is a main component.

Of course. Except for the fact that WE CAN'T BEAT THE SHITTY TEAMS THAT WE ARE SUPPOSED TO BEAT JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER GODDAMN YEAR.

right now the national championship game will include the winners of these 3 games if they all win out until then:

Ohio State/Michigan
Louisville/WV
USC/ND

I'm not being pessimistic. I just don't care that much about our ranking. I'd rather us make it through each game and fly under the radar.

^^ If Auburn wins out, gets into the SEC Championship and beat Florida again (or Tenn), they would get in before ND even if they beat USC

^ But USC destroyed Arkansas at Arkansas and Arkansas beat Auburn at Arkansas. So if Notre Dame beat USC at USC, by the law of progression Notre Dame would be a better team than Auburn.

Now, Michigan...

then we'll see who the real teams are

there is no other way

every other method is subjective bullshit that produces fake championships

^^^ So you're saying that if A beats B and B beats C, than A is not a better team than C.

Question then, since good college football teams try not to play each other, you think subjectiveness is the only way to determine the better team then? What do you think this is, boxing?

Besides, look at this order for a second in regards to Notre Dame.

1 Ohio State
2 USC
3 Michigan
4 Auburn
5 West Virginia
6 Florida
7 Louisville
8 Notre Dame

Assume they run the table. That means they will go by #2 since they beat them.
#5 and #7 play each other and Notre Dame would pass one of them.
#4 and #6 would meet in the SEC championship game if they both won every remaining game.
#1 and #3 are playing the last weekend of the year. Not sure what voters would do if ND was high up and Michigan has one loss, but poll voters are all about what have you done for me lately.

So by that alone they're up to 4th, and that's assuming the other 3 teams don't lose another game along the way.

you can use the A beat B, B beat C etc argument to find some retarded shit. Lets see, State beat BC who beat clemson... but akron beat state, but then akron lost to central mich... therefore Central Michigan is better than clemson.

and what do you mean good teams dont play each other?

I agree we need brackets. But until we get some how else are you going to separate 11-1 teams at the end of the season that never played each other? You're complaining about computers and the only other way to do it is strength of schedule.

Look, if Auburn runs the table from here on out and ND beats USC, they will be ahead of USC and ND if all three of them have one loss each... book it.

11-1 in the SEC > 11-1 in any other conference

the abc thing only works one time. team a beat team b who beat team c so team a is better than team c. it doenst work if you put a 4th team into it or team c has a better record than team c. team a and c must have the same record

If Auburn is better than USC, then explain this:

USC 50, @ Arkansas 14
Arkansas 27, @ Auburn 10

The end of this from me can be summed up like this: For the love of God you stupid whores that run college football, get off your knees and setup a playoff!

yes, until we get brackets, and even when we do get brackets, we'll need R2D2 to tell us what teams' relative rankings are. but i'll be damned if the current way of doing things is producing an objective #1.

as I stated above, A beat B beat C etc is bullshit, e.g C.Michigan is better than Clemson????

there are TONS of factors that could explain how arkansas got killed by USC but then beat Auburn aside from "USC is better than Auburn".

there is no abc combination that puts cmichigan with clemson. that is like abcde

it only works for abc and if one of the teams has a better record you wouldnt even need to use it. this is only for teams that have the same # of losses.
