the sabres really aren't playing that well. they're playing ok, it's just that the flyers left their defense in philadelphia.

i hate afinogenov more than any other player in the league. one of my favorite things in all of sports is when they put him on screen, i say, "well too bad he can never finish" and then 5 seconds later the commentator says the exact same thing, i love it. 10/17/2006 11:06:53 PM |

I have no love for Buffaslugs, but I have Vanek and Afinogenov on my fantasy team.
Last night, they combined for 3 goals, 6 assists, and a +9. 10/18/2006 6:53:03 AM |

sabres look good this year. starting off much like the hurricanes did last year.
But what is with the new jerseys! they are awful. I thought I didn't care for the switch to black and red, but this messed up looking logo takes the cake. I will not buy a jersey with that logo. Sticking with the old blue and gold, i guess.
Afinogenov looks like he's gotten better about executing, hasn't he? I certainly hope so with Dumont gone. 10/18/2006 11:19:00 PM |

You won't see a more bizarre goal in the NHL this season than the OT winner from tonight's Columbus/Minnesota game.
The puck went up Wes Walz's pant leg as he was being checked into the net and over the goal line. Game over. 12/30/2006 3:04:29 AM |
