What's up, guys. I need to choose some concerts to give away tickets for the Smile State program. What concerts are you guys looking forward to in the Raleigh area? I tried to access the Pavilion site, but they switched over to the Live Nation format, which doesn't work well right now.
And join the Facebook group at http://www.facebook.com/smilestate if you haven't yet. That's the only way that you could get the free tickets. Peace.
Edit: Oh and this isn't the block party concert that I'm talking about. It's just ticket give-a-ways for just being in the group.

Oh fo sho. But I just want to get an idea of what artists you guys are interested in. I'm giving TWWers a better chance to get tickets to shows that they would actually go to. 10/25/2006 3:49:32 PM |

my favorite band is cross canadian ragweed
but I think with what you are doing you should go with some basic stuff that most everyone likes...
and tww is not the place to find out which band because everyone here hates bands that make money 10/25/2006 3:55:39 PM |

Edwin is actually a show that I wanted to catch. I bought tickets to his show while I was in DC, but he had to cancel. Wife had a baby...
But yeah, I don't really have to give away tickets to mainstream artists. I don't listen to the radio or watch MTV or whatever either. So you don't have to give me what you think other people would want to see. Just list a band that you really want to catch within the next couple months. 10/25/2006 4:38:15 PM |

i already have tickets to most of the shows i wanna go to, but venues i like are lincoln theatre, the brewery, and cat's cradle (around our area) instead of big venues like altell but i'll take free tickets to anything. 10/25/2006 5:56:31 PM |

I'd already have tickets for TSO if I didn't have a common exam that night
two shows I intend to go to, but have yet to get tickets for: MC Chris, cat's Cradle, 11/2 Carbon Leaf, Cat's Cradle, 11/4 10/25/2006 6:10:52 PM |

Oh sweet. Carbon Leaf is pretty good. But yeah, I'm not sure if we'll give anything away for the Cradle since UNC is competing with us in Smile State. Not that it really matters, free tickets are free tickets. It'd be nice to keep the excitement in Raleigh though. We helped the Heels out enough when the competition started. 10/25/2006 6:22:04 PM |
