I got a 5 dollar ticket for this before...

It was for using my windshield wipers without having my lights on... funny thing was it wasn't raining for a good hour and had been driving without using wipers until I got behind an 18-wheeler then the spray from his tires made me turn them on as I drove by a cop. And he pulled me over for 10 mins to give me a 5 dollar ticket.... I thought it was quite lame...

Not to mention they tried to charge me 100 in court fees when the cop had told me I just needed to pay 5 bucks and no court fees. The cop was right, courthouse was wrong.

Dumb incident.

§ 20-129. Required lighting equipment of vehicles.

(a) When Vehicles Must Be Equipped. – Every vehicle upon a highway within this State shall be equipped with lighted headlamps and rear lamps as required for different classes of vehicles, and subject to exemption with reference to lights on parked vehicles as declared in G.S. 20-134:

(4) At any other time when windshield wipers are in use as a result of smoke, fog, rain, sleet, or snow, or when inclement weather or environmental factors severely reduce the ability to clearly discern persons and vehicles on the street and highway at a distance of 500 feet ahead, provided, however, the provisions of this subdivision shall not apply to instances when windshield wipers are used intermittently in misting rain, sleet, or snow. Any person violating this subdivision during the period from October 1, 1990, through December 31, 1991, shall be given a warning of the violation only. Thereafter, any person violating this subdivision shall have committed an infraction and shall pay a fine of five dollars ($5.00) and shall not be assessed court costs. No drivers license points, insurance points or premium surcharge shall be assessed on account of violation of this subdivision and no negligence or liability shall be assessed on or imputed to any party on account of a violation of this subdivision. The Commissioner of Motor Vehicles and the Superintendent of Public Instruction shall incorporate into driver education programs and driver licensing programs instruction designed to encourage compliance with this subdivision as an important means of reducing accidents by making vehicles more discernible during periods of limited visibility.

Mildew... I did something similar.

Went to get my driver license and got this really bitchy chainsmoking woman who constantly whined about how much she hated everything in life...

The sun was out.. Drove down this little quiet road.... Went under a stretch w/ a few trees that dropped a few massive drops across the windshield...

Turned on the wipers really quick to take care of it...

and for the first time on the entire trip the woman smiled...

and then laughed...

and said.. That's an illegal move.. Drive back.. You lose.

Went to an intersection and was turning left, I was waiting behind the line at the intersection and then saw an opening and began to go, but then a car turned out of a driveway and through the intersection and I had to stop 1/3 of the way into the intersection. Waited for the car, the light turned yellow, then I went, the car behind me even turned. She said I should have waited where I was until the next cycle.... I would have been in the middle of the intersection you dumb bitch.

I love my horn. Problem is drivers are jsut as aggressive here. They will harass you with their car until you fear for your life. I've had almost two near accidents because of retaliation road rage. They use their signals here but they run red lights, quite some time after it's turned red. They also have the slow drivers in the left lane or people going 90 and following too close to get you to move over. If you don't ride on my ass for an extended period of time or come up to my bumper with obvious aggression I have no problem getting over....if you're in such a god damn hurry you should have left a few minutes earlier.

I've seen like three cops sicne I've been here too so there's nothing stopping them. Not like in Raleigh when a few nights every month there'd be a cop every 15 feet on 440.

I will move over if you don't look like you're weaving through traffic and riding on people's assholes jsut to get ahead. That's endangerment and I don't appreciate it. If you hit me then you will owe me slow the fuck down or leave earlier.

I've also done the "tapped on my brakes while you're on my ass" thing before. I turn into a different person when I'm on the road.

If you're going slower in the left lane then traffic to the right of you I will be on your ass. Sometimes I don't even mean to be on someones ass as when I'm waiting to get over but a car is coming I'll creep too close.

I'm not perfect but I am damn well aware of the rules on the road.
