the absolute worst atmospheres in all of Pro football? Like, there are always empty blue plastic seats everywhere even when supposedly there is a 'sellout' or 'packed house'
The crowd is weak, the intros are weak, the cheers are weak, hell - the fucking jumbotron is weak. Sigh. 10/29/2006 11:35:04 PM |

Isn't this true of all professional sports (especially when a team is losing), 95% of fans have no affiliation with the team other than I was raised within X miles of where they play?10/29/2006 11:53:57 PM |

it's a fun place to get drunk and it's got a great location, but it's still the nfl, which is <<<<< college fb anyday.
id rather watch a competitive nc state team in a big conference matchup than any nfl playoff game in that stadium (or any other for that matter)

uh the game and atmosphere was AWESOME last night. Until we started to choke like nothing I have ever seen in my life. Wait welcome to my world of cheering on great talented teams that seem to lose anyways. The stadium is nice, the tailgating is great downtown and there are a lot of other great things about BofA. The atmosphere at state games IS better and more in unison but you also need to remember this is the panthers and we have only been around since 1993. In that time we haven't won too much. As a matter of fact most of our big fans are in our age range...aka people who can't afford to go to the games yet. To say charlotte is all unc alumni is the dumbest comment I have ever read. The loudest cheers last night at the game during halftime with the mascots was for Clemson Tiger, COCKY from the gamecocks, and mr. wuf...the tarhole didn't get much at all but some boos. 10/30/2006 11:38:21 PM |

the alma mater thing is overrated, what that makes college atmospheres more lively are the student sections. That said, I think BoA is pretty soft even compared to pro stadiums. I have only been there and Paul Brown Stadium (PBS fans seemed more "hardcore"), but from what I've heard other stadiums can get pretty fun. Also most of the people who were raised panthers fans aren't old enough to afford tickets, so things could get better. 11/1/2006 12:14:14 AM |
