oh, i know...i didn't mean to imply that it was revolutionary or anything...but $400 for 1TB breaks down to 2.5 cents/GB, and in an external enclosure and from a reputable dealer...wondering if it comes up as two drives or one

"A terabyte (derived from the prefix tera-) is a measurement term for data storage capacity equal to 1024 gigabytes"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terabyte

1024GB / $400 = $2.56 GB/dollar

its $2.50 per gig, not $0.025

still not a horrible deal

ummm...wouldn't $2.50 * 1024 = $2560?

could an engineer/math major/someone with basic math skills fix this?

[Edited on November 1, 2006 at 5:23 PM. Reason : Correction, its 2X500]
