i hate chris berman a million times more than dick vitale

once in a while vitale will make me laugh and i think he generally has a good heart

yeah i could understand getting annoyed with both of them, and it actually bothers me how Vitale talks about UNC at every game he is calling....but overall they are both pretty good announcers and neither one is a total dickbag like some of the other guys on ESPN.

I hate people like Mark May who just doesn't know shit about college football....or Dan Patrick who is an asshole.

What the hell is wrong with Berman? I think the man was born to do football highlights and I think he does a better job than anyone else out there. Too bad NFL Primetime doesn't come on anymore. That was a staple of Sunday night TV for me.

And for Vitale, sure him always talking about UNC and Duke gets annoying but you can't help but like the passion he has for college basketball. Anytime someone has that much passion for a sport, I can't help but respect them. And plus he still gives mad praise to Jimmy V . That alone makes him likeable.

Berman's quick football recaps when he goes through all the NFL games on Sunday night pretty quickly are really good, he doesn't have time to do much more then basically cover the game with a few things thrown in here or there. He is forced to keep it short which is good.

Both of them can be over the top and try to make it more about them then what they are talking about, but i'd take either over micheal irvin any day of the week. he is the worse person that ever gets a chance to talk on tv.

has to be Dick Vitale. Berman comes up with nicknames for players on all the teams if their names make it easy enough... though he does stretch sometimes. His coverage is pretty fair and balanced, a team can get blown out and he'll still mention a good play or two they had.

Dick Vitale, on the other hand, has blatantly obvious biases and isn't afraid to let you know he's biased. There's just one problem with that: He's big on Kentucky (I'm an LSU fan), D00k/chapel hell (NC State), and Kansas (Texas). You could be discussing a game completely unrelated to his fucking favorites and yet he ALWAYS spins them into the discussion.

Round Table Guy #1: In the Big East, Notre Dame defeated Providence, 63-58.
Round Table Guy #2: Yeah, the Irish played well, but nearly shot themselves in the foot by missing free throws down the stretch when they needed to hit them.
