PLEASE someone tell me how to say his name? Im from bean so thats why im clueless on southern sports. i heard Sha-shin-skee is that right? If thats his name where in Timminy Fuck did they get a 'sh' sound a 'n' sound And what did they do with the 'K' the 'Z' the 'Y' and the 'W'???......
If it was up to me I would call him Coach Krazy (from the 'Krzy' at beginning of his name)
or if i were forced to pronounced that oddball name i'd say coach kra-ze-zooski.

I'm clueless when it comes to southern sports. That's why I don't recognize the most famous college basketball coach in the country, who is on national TV every five minutes during the tournament. 11/5/2006 9:56:07 PM |

yo vinylbandit! u right i am clueless when it comes 2 southern sports, in bean we could give a shit about college ball. its' only da pros for us, sox, pats, celts. all with tremendously storied pasts. i have heard of coach K but thats all we know him by, i couldnt name one duke player. i gues the reason why the south cares so much about college sports is cuz there's no noteworthy pro teams anywhere in sight. sorry buddy 11/5/2006 11:53:58 PM |

So you're not really a sports fan then, right?
I mean, when duke plays unc it pretty much locks up sportscenter for the night
and dick vitale is pretty much a booster for duke basketball 11/5/2006 11:58:24 PM |

What about the Stanley Cup champion Carolina Hurricanes and NFC Championship contender Carolina Panthers
Our expansion teams are new but they'll have storied histories before too long
Except the Bobcats who are beyond redemption 11/5/2006 11:59:18 PM |

mmk. Tampa Bay has two pro championships in the Lightning, and Bucs. Miami has the storied Dolphins franchise, the recent championship Heat with two of the most notable players in the league in Shaq and Wade, and then the Marlins have 2 World Series championships in their short existence. the Atlanta Falcons and Jacksonville Jaguars all have pretty good fan support. the Falcons went to the Super Bowl in 99. the Panthers have been to the NFC Championship game two times recently, winning one and going on to the Super Bowl. the Hurricanes are gaining a ton of fan support and won the Stanley Cup, which put Raleigh in a frenzy. there were people going crazy on Glenwood and elsewhere, and usually i can't hit I-40 without seeing at least one Canes flag flying around, even in late summer. the Tennessee Titans went to a Super Bowl not too long ago. the Dallas Cowboys are one of the most storied franchises in the NFL, and the Dallas Stars have won the Stanley Cup before. the San Antonio Spurs have NBA championships, and the Dallas Mavericks went to the finals this year. the Braves are well supported and set a record of what 13 straight division championships along with winning the World Series in the 90s. no noteworthy pro teams my ass.

Celtics - yes, but they haven't done hardly anything in awhile
Patriots - if getting 3 championships in 4 years recenlty, while doing nothing the entire other time of your existence and basically being an afterthought in Boston during that time equates to storied past, then i guess the Canes have a storied past too for getting to two Stanley Cups recently while winning one of them
Red Sox - yeah a tremendously storied past of making losing an art form for the most part

Apart from how your statement was completely dismantled above, there's one other major reason why we put college sports above pro sports. We actually went to college, and thus have a bigger connection to college sports rather than caring about some pro team just because they are located nearby. Up north you have a bunch of blue collar union people filling the seats of various pro teams, and those who actually did go to college had either ivy league schools that have no spectator sports worth watching or shit colleges like BC and the SUNY system that have never done anything worth anything in any sport ever.
So kid, hopefully by the time you become the first person in your family to get a degree, you'll also be able to write at least at a 6th grade level.11/6/2006 7:19:38 AM |

No one has mentioned the Braves yet because they are pretty good too. And they used to play in Bean as well. What a fucking gay ass way to refer to your town too. Just say Bean-town or Boston, but fucking Bean has got to be one of the gayest things I've ever heard.11/6/2006 9:13:12 AM |
