This is the most accurate political ideology quiz I have taken so far. I personally rated as an "activist" i'm a moral socialist (more concerned w/ social issue liberalism than economic issue liberalism), close to the economic center, and anti-statist. The only thing keeping out of social libertarianism was my belief in a god (which I think is BS, but the anarchist addage of "no masters" includes gods in this case, i suppose). It's best to read all the descriptions and see how they overlap as well.

Have at it.

It says Buddhism but since Shinto (my religion) is closely related it is still appropriate.

I don't necessarily believe this one got me spot on. I'm a fan of Reagan, but certainly not THAT much of a fan.

Also, I wanted to pick more than one answer for a number of the questions.
Heathcare is a business, but am not 100% opposed to helping some people afford it.
Men and women are equal
Men and women are different, but equal
What kind of choice is that? I mean the second one is obviously the only choice you have if you feel they are equal, unless you don't know the difference between a penis and a vagina.

__

Loneshark, are you sure you took it right? lol That looks very different from your actual leanings.
I vote this test blows.

the worst question is the one about security.

follow me if you know the tune

1. We should be ready to defend ourselves

because

2. We can't completely rely on the police to keep us safe.

Furthermore

3. Security is everyone's concern

and additionally,

4. Everyone should be equally secure.

None of these choices are mutually exclusive.

Others

1. Want to understand more what this all means? Then start with the Overview and step through the pages by clicking Next.
2. For President and Candidates, the percentage measures the distance between you and them where 100% is a perfect overlap and 0% is the longest possible distance.
3. If you overlap two regions, they are both listed. So if you see both Liberalism and Conservatism, you are a "perfect" Centrist.

So, I took it again, and this time it taught me one very important thing:

I'm really fucking confused about my political philosophy if this quiz is to be trusted and this quiz is no more accurate than any other one. if religion and politics go hand in hand, i'd rather define myself by religion and let the politics be inferred. It's impossible for one to so narrowly define themselves as adhering to one narrow train of thought, unless that is all they expose themselves to. i mean, i like bertrand russell's views of politics, the role of philosophy in life, universalism, reason, and science, but i dont necissarily agree with his views of personal religion. i draw from many sources, not just one, and i think that for anyone to do so is pure folly.

wait, what im saying should be painfully obvious to anyone, as long as you can see past the end of your own nose.

Interesting. I have been struggling between the democratic and republican party recently. As this chart suggests I am low for a democrat and left for a republican. Sadly I think the republican party has moved too far to the right on this chart for me.

I thought the respect to law question was vague

We should focus on those who keep breaking the law.
(Yes)
We should simply enforce the law.
(um...yeah)
We should reduce the causes of crime.
(sure)
We should eliminate the causes of crime.
(well..thats just delusional)

In the end I had to go with the "simply enforce the law" one and check the confused box next to it

^^yeah, that one is why i'm pretty much throwing this out now. the quiz sucks, but the grid is an excellent way of portraying political philospohy in an organized, coherend matter.

This quiz is far inferior to that other one.
