I'm kind of surprised Lotus let them do this, considering how they did in the last DARPA challenge.
I wonder though if all the teams this year are going to copy the winning strategy Stanford used last time.

maybe they would like to. But Stanford put like $4 million in that vehicle. A lot of teams don't have that kind of dough (ie our team that only spent like 55,000)
