I need to print out a large image (jpg) that is 4800 by 3000. I don't have access to a plotter and it doesn't have to be one sheet for my needs.
I can't figure out how to print it in actual size using photoshop. It would print sections of it and I'll cut it and tape it together.
Any suggestions? 11/26/2006 1:50:44 PM |

you could manually chop up the picture yourself if all else fails. also, doesn't ms paint print stuff out actual size by default (or one of those very standard ms apps, i think). 11/26/2006 2:46:57 PM |

Some newer versions of Adobe Acrobat. Just make a custom paper size to fit the larger size, and then tell acrobat to print on your 8.5x11 and find the option to print on multiple pages. 11/26/2006 2:50:19 PM |

yeah that's what I've been doing is chopping up manually. Just a pain in the butt. This is something that's going to be a reoccuring thing so Kinko's is out. I don't mind buying a piece of software that lets me do it.
Thanks anyway, I'll check out acrobat at work. 11/26/2006 2:56:41 PM |

Are you doing this on a Mac or PC? Do you need acrobat 7 or 8? The bookstore's got 8 for PC in and it's about 40 for standard and 60 or so for pro (think prices went up.) They have tons of copies of 7 for mac for 10 bucks though. 11/26/2006 3:02:17 PM |

At 600 dpi, well within the resolution capabilities of most modern color printers, the image will easily fit on a standard letter size sheet of paper. 11/26/2006 4:19:33 PM |
