so...i dont know much about cars, but i know that my cavalier is too small for all the animals i have. so im looking at getting a small suv and wanted to see what people recommended. i've looked at rav4's and cherokee's....but like i said, as far as safety and the like i would like suggestions..

Since all you need is space for animals then I would definitely NOT suggest an SUV. What you need is a station wagon.

I'd suggest:
- a Subaru Forester or Legacy
- Volvo V70
- Mazda 6 Wagon

I don't know if you're looking at new or used, but thats what I'd look at. Also don't know your price range.

They might be, but I almost stuck one in the beach at Corolla one time and decided from that point on that it wasn't a good wheeler. I've honestly never driven the Rav-4, CR-V, etc.

Forester, they are pretty nice. Specially I4 turbo awd. My friend has one, doing a few mods here and there. And he thought he was going to keep it stock till the dsm bug hits him again. One thing leads into another thing... Soon he'll have like 400awhp again.

i really liked the kickass features and a nice interior on a 06+ suzuki grand vitara. exterior is very clean too if a little girly. havent done uch research on reliability or anything.

i'd go for an Impreza wagon (or WRX wagon if you want something fairly fast). it'll be waaaay better as a daily driver that can haul stuff than any SUV, crossover or otherwise.
