Ive noticed more and more bands having and enormous amount of members nowadays (not counting instrumental groups). Did the polyphonic spree start this trend? 11/28/2006 12:20:33 PM |

I think it started with GYBE. They're instrumental, of course, but the revival of the orchestral rock band started there.

Sigur Ros only has four members. GYBE has nine.
Belle & Sebastian are worth considering, with an active rotation of seven to nine.
