costa rica was like that, also one of the bridges we went over just had wood timbers laid down sideways, i was watching the car in front of us and how they wood flip up about a foot when he ran over them

Plenty of the roads in the Andes look like this, Bolivia isnt special, it just happens to be the most dangerous/druggie/shitty South American country in general.
