CaneSport and the radio are saying Trestman is going to Miami as OC.

He coached Bernie Kosar, who is a university trustee and probably the new director of football operations at Miami.

He was a decent OC but the offense couldn't execute the play calls.

Draw play on 3rd and long is tough to execute unless you are running behind a snowplow.

^^^ the guy has been an OC for 20+ years and has never held one job for more than 3 years, that says a lot

it wasnt amato holding back, it was his own stubborness

where does this whole "amato was holding him back" thing come from?? I get that he may be hard to work for since chow and herring left, but do you honestly think he affected in game play calling that much? If so please site some evidence, dont just repeat previously held beliefs

well Im citing it from players that have said the OC will call a play and if Chuck thinks the defense is set for something different or doesnt like the play call he would change it on his headset and he had final choice on who went in, what to play, who to play, and where to play the ball...

thats from players i dont have an article regarding it because i doubt any media know the players personally/

eh, west coast offense is like herbs offense. Boring to watch. Also trying to run a west coast offense without good olinemen is about as productive as herb's princeton offensive with blind kids shooting.

I've heard similar from similar, especially the last line. I know what was said in the media, but Chuck is part of the reason Chow left too.
