So i know Boone sucks compared to every other ski spot in the world, but its close Are the slopes in decent shape this season? If not how about VA and WV?

Also, of the 3 locations mentioned above, wheres the beat deals for lodging+lift tickets for groups of 6-8?

It's gonna be hit or miss for me. I'm gonna try to go to Heavenly at Tahoe to my parents seasonal place there but I'm not sure if the pass is going to be driveable until like 24 hrs before...

It's been a slow winter so far. Though they got 8-10" last weekend in Stateline, NV where I'd be. I'm hoping for a nice storm this weekend, which looks likely and then a pretty clear next week.. I'd be there from 21st at night to the 24th..

i wanna ski somewhere over break, even if it's just a 2 day trip to wintergreen or something, but haven't made any plans.

i'd sworn off skiing on the east coast, but it's been a couple of years since i've managed to make it out to a slope of any kind, so i'll take anything right now.

http://booneweather.com/Webcams/App+Ski+Mtn+Cam

there's snow on the ground at crappy appy.
that's all i know.

it's been warm in Boone for the last 2 days and will stay warm all week. The snow will probably suck by the weekend if it doesn't already.

I'm gonna get some telemark skiis and skin into Coldstream Canyon to go ice climbing not so far from Tahoe. It should be fun. Lift tickets cost way too fucking much so no resorts until my new job starts.

I'm staying at the Embassy Suite resort (free happy hour!) right next to the Gondala (literally you can fall out the door into the line) for Heavenly. I don't have to pay for lodging or drinks, granted, but it's not too expensive. I got a 2 for 3 lift pass for $124. Now, I'm just hoping I don't have to fucking put on chains on the way there... so inconvenient..
