my parents are getting me this tv for christmas, but i have the option to exchange/upgrade if i want to.

what your thoughts/opinions of this tv? should i keep it or get something else?

I would keep it. Mitsubishi's DLPs are among the best out now (they are actually my favorite rear projection television, pretty much match the Sony SXRDs).

The only reason you would want something else is if you were sitting too close or too much of an angle for a rear projection.
