I will likely get one of these, does anyone have either and have anything to say about either?

they seem incredibly similar to me, the zen is 60 gigs and the archos is 80, I think the screens are pretty much the same. i decided on one of these over a vid iPod because I think iPods can only play mpeg4 and these can play mpg4 plus avi and other shiz plus these both have better screens than iPods.

so?

I think I'ma get the archos unless i find something else or some big advantage that the zen has, I like this tv recording feature, and it has 16 mil colors vs the W's 200somethingK

iPods are poo compared to the other stuff out there.

worse screen, no tv recording, etc.

only thing going for iPod is the apple namebrand and the small size

i wouldn't go ipod if your tryin to watch video. zunes aren't a bad chioce
for some reason everyone hates the zune i think it's mainly bc of microsoft. i've gone to various websites and seen an awesome review of the gigabeat then a review that says the zune is shit when they are the exact same except the zune has a much larger screen and wifi... haters.i've had mine for a few months and i love it. the archos and zen are also pretty nice too form what i hear never seen either in person though. it's gonna be alot tougher to find acceories for those guys so i would factor that in if u ever plan to use it for working out(Cases) and/or want a speaker dock for it.

good luck with the archos...a couple years go they made complete crap. i bought one and the hard drive failed within 2 months and acrhos refused to do anything about it. maybe theyve cleaned up their act...i'm assume you checked out all the reviews and whatnot.
