Whenever I come across a song that either sucks or is a bad MP3 I mark it with a one star rating on my iPod. Is there a way to automate iTunes to check for one-star songs and delete them when I sync?

I've checked google already and all I could find were people saying they just delete them manually.

I'm just lazy.

duh

when you synch your iPod with iTunes, the ratings will be transferred both ways so that you have the same ratings on both.

then, in iTunes, click on the rating column header to arrange songs by rating. all 1 star songs will be together. highlight all, right click, and delete.

setup a smart playlist with all 1-star rated songs. then check that playlist every once in a while and delete all songs in the playlist

itunes won't automatically delete anything though (as well it should) if you want to permanently delete the songs you will have to select them and delete. you could set it up so that the 1-star playlist isn't synced with your iPod
