At the top of a new document page, I have these two right angles that appear to denote margins vert and horizontal...
they arent really functionally bothering, but how would one make them go away?
the mr. willis's paperclip dude was no help in making me look enteligant on this subject either...
(that guy)

are you talking about the two very light gray right angles at the top right and left (and lower right and left, too) corners? i suppose you could change to "Normal" view mode, instead of "Print" view, but apart from getting rid of the angles, Normal mode looks like shit. 1/3/2007 9:30:23 AM |

^Mine don't display in print layout.
Tools->Options View Tab Uncheck (assuming it is already checked) "Text Boundaries" Ok 1/3/2007 10:02:34 AM |

Just a rant, but I swear to god I get damn-near apoplectic when dealing with MS Word. I've gone back to doing things old-school with a text editor and spell checker for most of my stuff now.
Ok - I feel better now. Continue on. 1/3/2007 4:11:04 PM |

^ it's not. "Text boundaries" turn on a dotted line around the entire text area - a large rectangle. Concerning the little right angles..... i don't think you're going to find a way to turn them off, nor much sympathy. I don't see how they could possibly really be in your way. And like i said before, if it bothers you that much, you can just write in Normal View mode. 1/4/2007 10:14:53 AM |

On word 2003, 'Text Boundaries puts those angles in the corner and connects them with dotted lines. 1/4/2007 10:31:45 AM |

well on my Word 2003 (11.8106.7107) SP2 the right angles always seem to be there when in Print View mode, and Text Boundries shows dotted lines connecting the angles.... 1/4/2007 10:35:10 AM |
