Lately, my WMP has been playing the first couple seconds of a video just fine, sound included, then the screen within the player goes black, and no sound.
It continues 'playing' through the rest of the video, but with no picture/sound.
Any ideas? 1/2/2007 11:46:03 PM |

out of the blue.
nope, not porn.
Everything is fine, if the windows media player is 'inset' within the mozilla/IE frame, but if WMP opens up separately, then this problem happens. 1/3/2007 6:39:50 PM |

have you installed/removed any codecs or other software? 1/3/2007 6:51:07 PM |

1) If you haven't already, upgrade to WMP 11. 2) Download codec packs, and appropriate file header fixes. 3) Install VLC Media Player. 1/3/2007 6:57:50 PM |

codec packs create more problems than they solve. If you have a media file you cant play, figure out what codec you need (google or gspot codec info) and then get that individual codec. 1/3/2007 7:05:46 PM |
