Is there a required pre-work essay due to begin co op? I know there is a post work essay due and a pre work meeting.

then what are you going to write about?

our program is not the worst out there, and the fact that it is accredited will help you

example: the year of experience counts towards your PE

Nothing listed on their web site, unless its a brand spanking new requirement that hasn't been listed yet. Mind the crap they put you through and enjoy the benefits you'll get out of the work experience.

doing 2 terms in a row so you only have to do 1 pre-work and post-work meeting FTW!

I had to write a paper for both times, but i didnt have to hassle with the people twice. More than likely it was because i was co-oping out of state, but it was still nice not having to confer with advisors for a second needless appointment.

My last two co-op terms have been great. I'm actually glad the office makes you write a post-work report. Most job application processes nowadays want you to include a writing sample. After polishing up my work report from the spring term and having some engineers look over it, I submitted it with my summer internship application to ExxonMobil. And to think I was actually on here bitching about writing the report when it helped my ass get an internship.

Which reminds me, I gotta start writing up my report for the fall and set up a meeting.

^^I worked in Tyvek. They have the largest coop program out of the Spruance site.

^Are you talking abut BMW's coop program or coop in general? If in general, it depends on who you take on your assignment with. I had a blast with DuPont due to the projects I got to work on.

Tyvek at spruance is one of the largest co-op programs in the entire corporation.
