The headphones that came with my ipod nano have finally petered out. So I'm looking for something new. The ipod headphones were okay...but they fell out every now and then and sometimes when I would jam them back in there, they would make my ears sore.
I've tried out some headphones that "wrap-around" your ears, but have had varying results. I run a decent amount and I'm pretty much looking for the best fitting headphones that aren't too bulky.

I have had problems with several brands, including some that were supposedly water-resistant that shorted out when I sweated. Then it would be just an annoying electronic buzz in one ear. The work again once they dry out, but far from ideal. 1/6/2007 6:57:10 PM |

I'll 2nd the Shure E2C, plus they've got a 2 year unconditional warranty on them, if they get wet and short out from sweat, Shure will replace them no questions asked. I've had my pair replaced after just over 2 years, for free 1/6/2007 9:51:29 PM |

I'll just say that you shouldn't pick up a pair of headphones that'll completely cancel out all the noise around you. The shure E2x's are one of these. If you're running you want to be able to hear when cars are going by and such of course, but you still want to hear your music.
I don't have any wrap-arounds to suggest, just don't get anything that cancels out too much noise. 1/8/2007 4:23:11 AM |

i too recently bought the Sony MDR-J10s because the ear buds i had wouldnt stay in my ears worth a damn while i was running. while the sony's do stay in your ear, im not very impressed witht he sound quality. i guess you get what you pay for....and then again, im going from a decent pair of ear buds, so i guess i was used to a more rich sound. 1/8/2007 8:44:51 AM |

^thats what the tie on the cords is for...if you have it pulled up to your chin, its keeps the earphones from bouncing around. 1/8/2007 8:58:34 AM |
