I love how everyone acts like its a new thing to add the "the" to the school name. It's actually the official name, The Ohio State University, just no one really started saying it that way until recently

^^^ UF has it's share of liberals and gays, but it isn't as bad as Chapel Heck. UF is known for engineering, agriculture, business, education, law, and sciences. It's more like if you combined NCSU and UNC into one school, so the student body has a wide variety of people.

I think the reason they stress the "THE" is to piss off Ohio University

I heard awhile back Ohio U bitched about script ohio or something becuase Ohio University is "Ohio" not Ohio State...and that it took recognition away from them by making it seem like Ohio State was the only university in Ohio.

So to act greater than thou OSU fans started saying THE Ohio State University...stressing "THE" to mean the #1

I guess I will be pulling for Florida here. I used to not be able to stand them but they have moved down on my hatred list since Tennessee learned to handle Spurrier and I actually like Meyer a lot as a coach, and I suppose I should support the SEC even though I would never ever cheer for Georgia's bitchasses. And the Ohio State/Michigan ass kissing is getting really old, so go Florida.

I usually pull for State schools 99% of the time, but I think this is gonna fall into that 1% because I'm sick of OSU being at the top....

I wish both could lose just becuase I can't stand to see a school with a top 5 basketball and footabll team.... it just isn't fair

As someone who has spent ALOT of time on UF's campus (two of my best buds from high school both graduated from there), I agree with this statement. UF is in no way as liberal as UNC and there sure as hell are not as many gay people in Gainesville as there are in Chapel Hill.

As for the game, I am just hoping it will be close and exciting.

I am torn. I hate the buckeyes b/c they are like Notre Dame/UNC in MD for some reason, but I hate UF b/c of the gator fans that used to watch games in Sammys when I was in college. Those fucking hicks would act like everyone else in the place wanted UF to win. I never had more fun than when the gators would lose and everyone in there would be cheering for the other team, just out of spite. Fuck em both, but go UF I guess.

Makes more sense if Michigan beat the snot out of USC, but given that event didn't happen, I'm less inclined to say so. Personally, I'm routing for Florida since I have a soft spot for the SEC (father and too many uncles came out of the SEC).
