nevermind...
it is like subscribe but with out the email. If you want to keep up with a thread, you just add it and then if you want to go back to it to bring it up, you would just click "my threads" and find it in there instead of searching through several pages trying to find it(because the search engine isn't too hot here)

for some reason I keep on thinking about a "TWW newsgroup" when I think about the whole "my topic" idea

at one time the search was a little lacking, like before the most recent big change, not the crazyweb 2.20, but the one over christmas. ever since then it has been great though. sure beats the hell out of NC State's search engine, which was down completely today when I was looking for something.
how much code/time did it take to get that search engine working as good as it is nowCrazyJ? 4/24/2002 10:16:02 PM |

I've touched a few topics and pushed them into the My Topics listing, and I find that a great addition for the UI would be to add a "Number of posts since your last login" or "Number of posts in the past day" would be nice. Just a thought; I don't know how feasible that would be to implement.

yes. perhaps it would be more useful if there was some sort of column that tells you if there are new posts since your last view of the topic. i can't remember who the last poster was or their time. 4/24/2002 11:15:21 PM |

Its better than what I was doing before, dragging threads to the desktop as links. 4/25/2002 12:34:49 AM |
