Yes, I know abotu Google. I've tried that. I can turn on my laptop, all of the power lights turn on and the hard drive spins, but the screen just stays black/doesn't turn on. I've hooked it to an external monitor and pressing Fn+F3 to switch, but nothing happens? Any ideas on what I can do besides throwing it out my window? Thanks.

I don't know much about it, but it definitely sounds like a graphics card problem. Hopefully someone could shed more light on it? 1/14/2007 12:06:21 AM |

Did you fondle the optics cord in a malignant manner? Any traumatic episode could have dislocated it. 1/14/2007 12:16:18 AM |

Shine a bright light close to the display while it's on. The backlight may have died. If so, you should be able to see the image. If the backlight is dead, you can probably buy a replacement display online and sell yours on ebay for $50 or so to someone who can fix it. 1/14/2007 9:08:21 PM |
