ok so i want my computer to remain on so that my torrent does not stop. what are the best power options to do this. obviously i could tell everything to never turn but is it the best option? options of course are hard disk, system stand by, system hibernate. 1/15/2007 11:47:32 PM |

Your system has to be active to download the torrents. If you're looking to save power, all you'll be able to do is turn off your monitor. 1/16/2007 1:28:54 AM |

If any of those were to happen while downloading a torrent, you would no longer be downloading the torrent.1/16/2007 2:31:21 AM |

You can do a lot of other things to save (or make) ~$10/month than try to optimize your computer's power settings. If its not running on a battery, and from the usage activity you are describing, its not worth messing with.1/16/2007 6:24:49 AM |

I've found that not running my computer 24/7 saves me ~$15-$20 per month. 1/16/2007 3:04:01 PM |
