I have a PNY geforce 7900 GS 256mb Pci-e video card i need to get rid off. I got it just to play battlefield 2142 but ive grown tired of the game and dont have a need for this card anymore. Its brand new condition and i have the box and everything. I originally purchased it for 230ish back in November. It can run over 50FPS on all the new games with everything turned up . Its a great card i wish i could keep but i had to pay for books this semester and now im flat broke.
Please Call 252 452 0757
My name is Nick
Thanks
Want 150 for it.

how does this one compare with the 7600 gs? Obviously it should be better, but how much? (im not tech savvy enough to know... i just see the 256mb are the same and wonder if it's worth the price difference)

The 7900 GS is a slimed down version of the updated G70 core and is also clocked slower but it is only about 10-15% slower in performance compared to a 7900 GT (which is on par or faster then 7800 GTX); its only noticeable in higher resolutions though. Now, if you over clock the 7900 GS' they can match the 7900 GT pretty easily. The 7900 GS can play all of the current games at normal resolutions fairly well depending on what settings you have on. It may only be 5 frames slower the the GT.

The 7600 GS is an even much slimmer core of the updated G70 core. The performance difference is vast. At best its about 25% slower then a 7900 GT, but at worst, it could be 70% slower; averages about 40-50% slower then the 7900 GT. So I'd generalize it being about 35% slower then a 7900 GS.

The price point of the 7600 GS is a lot lower (MSRP are around 130) while the 7900 GS' are around 200 (cheapest I've seen was 170 AR). Both will let you play games, but the 7600 GS, you will have to compromise in resolution and quality in order to play games ant playable frame rates. Also to mention, the 7600's are mostly fanless GPU's so don't expect to OC readably. And I'm not an expert on low end cards, I just glanced at these articles for a few hours in class right now. So if you got the time, just read them through and through.

you do realize that when you give the 2142 away, you need to give your user and password as you can only register one account per cd-key. It's pretty gay.
