ugh...the make up of black citizens in America is about 11%...just recently there were 7, i think, black coaches in the nfl.... 7 coaches out of 32 teams = about 22%...the league is plenty diverse with the coaches, people are gonna have to accept the fact that there is just that better of a chance that more white people will coach in the nfl then blacks

No dude... it's not that at all. Sports was on the forefront of the desegregation movement. "Sports" in general was the first piece of society to allow all colors in because it doesn't matter what color you are but how good you are. Ever since then, with some exceptions (Hank Aaron, etc), it didn't matter what color you were but what color jersey you wore.

And all of this talk about how big of a deal it is to have two black super bowl coaches... it just seems that it's taking sports BACK to where it was before desegregation.

It just doesn't matter. You look at Dungy and Lovie and you should say, "Wow, what great coaches" instead of "Wow, what great black coaches."

This doesnt work because of the make up of the nfl. You'd ahve to look at the % of black football players in america since it should be an acceptable premise that the people most qualified to coach are former athletes at some level. SO since there are are more black nfl players (dont know how far back this is true and dont care, just making a point) it reasons that there should be more than 7 black coaches

I am in full agreement with this statement. However, northeastern liberals and blacks that are heavy believers in victimization do everything they can to play the race card. Denzel Washington's character goes up to his assistant and tells him to be a hardass to the black players, cause he's not helping him in the long run if he coddles them.

I will say that Lovie Smith and Tony Dungy are being good in my eyes by downplaying it. They understand. The media don't.
