I mean, they play texas, iowa, michigan, unc and GT in one season.
i thought they might be independent but the coach mentions they could win the conference championship
they beat unc and gt, so i guess they are ACC?
[Edited on January 22, 2007 at 7:38 PM. Reason : they played miss st too, so it would HAVE to be acc or big 10]
[Edited on January 22, 2007 at 7:41 PM. Reason : i think they played BC too] 1/22/2007 7:34:24 PM |

ah the legendary ESU Timberwolves from the documentary "The Program". Coach Sam Winters is a Hall of Famer you know. Quarterback Joe Kane won the Heisman in his senior season after the movie. man that Camille Shafer (Kane's girlfriend) is one hot co-ed. want to touch the heiny. when i was a kid i just finished coming out of one of the locker rooms at the Cary IceHouse and saw Autumn Haley and Darnell Jefferson skating around. I think they had a problem with a hurricane resulting in their stadium being damaged and that's why they had to play so many of their home games at South Carolina's Williams-Brice Stadium. that was what 1993?

ya, also, the documentary must have been filmed before the "tuck rule" b/c kane's "fumble" was obviously an incomplete pass b/c of his forward arm motion

hey don't bring Coach Hayden Fox into this. he did a great job at Minnesota State. he got them to a lot of bowls and even somehow got the Big Ten to put them in there after the Minnesota was kicked out due to their disgrace of an athletic program was hit with all of those player/coach/booster controversies over the years. it's not his fault the expansion Orlando Breakers sucked so badly and had terrible owners that weren't willing to spend the kind of money to get high profile players to play for the team. 1/22/2007 7:56:46 PM |

Paul Blake for the Texas State University Fightin' Armadillos was a better quarterback, especially considering his age at the time he was in school. 1/22/2007 7:59:33 PM |

You know who was a great coach, Coach Pete Bell of the Western University Dolphins. He won two of Western's three NCSA National Championships. I mean the dude only had one losing season before calling it quits.
V That's Pete Bell. Can you believe he just upped and resigned after upsetting Bobby Knight and his #1 Indiana Hoosiers led by All-American guard and Duke transfer Bobby Hurley?

Neon Badeaux, Ricky Roe, and Butch McRay has to be the most formidable recruting class since the Fab 5. Coach Bell also did a great job of mentoring Tony, who initially was failing TV, a class "that's not easy, we don't just watch the tube." 1/22/2007 9:43:54 PM |
