how do you know if your college requires tickets to graduation. I am in CALS (biology) and I was just wondering if I should invite all my family, or let them know ahead of time that there are only a certain amount of tickets. Thanks!! 1/24/2007 8:02:08 PM |

the school-wide ceremony in the morning at RBC center does not require tickets. you can invite as many people as you wish. however, departmental ceremonies are a different story. those do require tickets and the # of tickets given to each student is decided by how many students in the department is graduating and the location of the ceremony. you most likely will not know about tickets until it gets closer to May. 1/24/2007 8:05:57 PM |

Talk to your academic advisor. They'll have a good idea of where the departmental ceremony might be held and the seats that it can hold. I'll take an ignorant guess and say the number of Biology graduates is large ... thus, they'll probably find a large place for everybody and tickets shouldn't be an issue. I know they rented out a theater at the Raleigh Convention Center for Computer Science (180? grads) when I graduated. Again, check with your advisor. 1/24/2007 8:57:39 PM |

humandrive just graduated from nuke in December, and they never actually told us if we got our requested number. We just showed up to both ceremonies no problem.
That said...what do they do for a minor? I have no clue and don't know anybody with one to ask.

^ No ceremony for the minors. As far as getting a certificate, it depends on the individual department as to whether they issue them or not. Important thing is whether it shows up on your transcript. 1/25/2007 7:33:03 PM |
