HP Pavilion zd8000 - $700

Perfect for watching movies with. This is one of the very best multimedia powerhouses, a good desktop replacement computer and an acceptable gaming pc.

wow and if you just wait till the 30th you can probably get the same thing with a significantly better process for like 150-200 more with vista (if you trust the new OS on its release date)

either that or somewhere they are selling new in box closeout laptops for that price

this has got to be the longest running sales item on TWW, it's good to see the price has dropped from $1500 since April of last year.

Actually, I was in Staples a few days ago an the sales guy said that they already have the Vista machines in the back and are only waiting on a release date to put them on the shelf.

That being said.
I HIGHLY doubt that the OP is going to get 700 bucks for a lappy that is not dual core and not at least available for a free upgrade to Vista.
