Its Windows Vista enabled! You can not pass that up! lol...

On a less sarcastic note I have a Sceptre 20.1" X20G-NagaIII and it rocks. Very good company and they make their own LCDs so its on the cheap.

Just read this review, might convince you not to spend the 300 bones:
Quote :
"This monitor has serious problems with the viewing angle. Your view MUST be above the 0 degree perpendicular plane, i.e. looking "down" at the screen, to get a decent picture. If you try to view from a lower angle, the screen starts to completely wash out. This is most prominent with dark images - especially in games which tend to have frequent dark images. Tried WoW, LOTRO, NWN2 - all dark games and all looked really bad unless you view from the tiny "sweet spot" angle.

Went through two of these before giving up. Keep in mind that Newegg will not pay for shipping on returns/refunds and they will charge a restocking fee for refunds. The interesting thing is that I've been seeing reviews of other 22" WS monitors from diff. manufacturers with the same view angle problem; I wonder if they're all using the same basic screen somehow. Don't wast your time with this one."

It's a good monitor, but according to the reviews, it has a rather high shit-out rate. I bought the X20wg-naga and it worked great for about 3 weeks but then about a week ago, I saw this:

Got it RMA'd for a replacement. When the new one arrives, I'm selling it and going for an HD LCD w/ HDMI or component inputs.

I was sold on the Samsung after reading this. I'm currently running the 22" widescreen with a 15" on the left.

Samsung and Dells are nice. I have the 20.1" widescreen dell for almost 3 years now and it rocks. Love PiP and multiple inputs of it. I can hook up my ps2 directly, got it for $350 back then. I also got a 204B samsung with similar features for $212 in the summer and just love it. Its not widescreen but I'm still impressed with how much brighter, faster, and vibrant compared to my dell monitor.

Both have a lot of features such as height, tilt, and other ergo settings. Nothing more annoying then having to play around with your lcd to get the perfect view, even if you have 170 degree viewable range, you don't get the exact color unless your looking dead-on no matter how hard they try to make that a selling point.

My parents have a 19" sceptre and Its decent for average users, but I definately don't like it. Low res, doesn't look sharp, I can see ghosting. To be fair, its 2 yrs old. Their specs for new monitors seem tempting, but I'd never buy em.

if I wanted a separate screen for playing my Xbox 360, would it be better/cheaper to buy a computer monitor and adapter (component to VGA)?

The bottom line: try to get a display with component inputs. Converting it will be hell.

Specter doesn't make their own panels.

Just get any LCD and bu ythe VGA cable for the 360. You dont need any adapters.

Got 2 Dell's, 1 19" and 1 24"

The 19 is about 3-4 years old and still going strong, and the 24 is about 2 years old.

They are very nice and well built monitors

Had a 19" Dell for about four years and it just recently died.
I was super happy with it while I had it though.

Of course we don't. We just rebrand them so fools on newegg will buy them. I make a huge profit.
