my girl was messing with my phone yesterday and set her name in it to be recognized by voice

i told her without looking to hold down the # key to activate the voice recognition mode to see if it woud work and call her

i didnt realize that holding down the # key locked the phone

we called her friend who gave me the phone saturday and she said she didnt remember setting the code at all

im wondering if there is a default code that verizon or lg uses or if im going to have to go into a kiosk/store somewhere and talk to these folk

haha something similar happened to me

but yeah turned out to be last 4 digits for mine also....

its the same for almost all providers. either last 4 of phone, last 4 of SSN or last 4 of user id

its also sometimes 0000 (maybe just for sony ericsson tho)

FYI for phone users......

We just got my grandparents new cell phones, and their unlock code was 12345. beware of the numbers you are putting in..

but yes, it is usually the last 4 digits of the phone number
