my 30 gallon has a leak somewhere (i will be removing everything from it today) and i want to make the move up to a 55 gallon (or more). i keep goldfish, so i'd prefer it if it were a freshwater tank...but i'll consider anything.

look on craigslist......i have seen a lot of deals lately on tanks on there. i got a 125 gallon with all the needed accessories for an awesome deal.

smart choice. Salt water is mo money mo problems.

regardless of what the tank used to be, salt or fresh, it would become a fresh tank. like i said, i have goldfish.
