I don't have time to keep up with housework, kids, and classes. I'm WAY behind in one of my classes (fortunately it's DE so I'm not screwed ... yet ) and I cannot keep sacrificing reading/study time to the housework. I don't care if you're male or female - I'm an EOE. I also don't care about time of day as long as you're done/gone by about midnight because I go to bed around 1. I do not have rubber gloves, but I do have all the cleaning products.

- Dishes ... feel free to cram what you can in the dishwasher. Srsly. Handwash the rest. Anything that's already clean will be put away before you get here.
- Wipe the stovetop
- Clean off the counter
- Put away the kids toys ... and by put away, I mean get them off the floor as fast as you can w/o breaking stuff so you can sweep the floor.
- Wipe down their dinner table and chairs
- Sweep then swiffer hard floors through the house
- Help me take down Christmas decorations ... the tree is heavy because the poles are steel to protect the fiber optics. I don't want to damage it.

That's basically it. You can probably do it in an hour - takes me about an hour - or if you're really good, less. If you do, I might have a couple other small things like maybe you can help me fold laundry but that's it -- nothing big/nasty/major, just the daily grime.

What will I be doing?

- laundry
- animal cages/bowls/etc
- putting away ornaments, taking the lights off the porch >.< , wrapping up glass stuff
- Clearing off some surfaces that have become catch-alls
- if the kids nap, studying

What else might you take away?

- I have a LOT of kid stuff both mine/my kids and from my sister. I've been passing it along a little at a time. My neighbor took a lot of stuff for her classroom. We can go through the box after the work's done.
- I need to thin out my pantry. I don't know what I'm going to get rid of yet though.
- other stuff - we'll see - I'm purging things preparing for graduation.

Misc. Details:
- I live near Fuquay. I can give you a ride here, but I'm not driving all the way back to Raleigh. The southernmost bus line is at K-mart at 401, so if you need transportation I'll drop you off there. Bring your student ID and I think you can ride the bus free.
- I get out of class at 2:45. This means if you need a ride, be ready by 3 or 3:30. If you don't need a ride, I'll just give you directions and/or my phone number. No, can't do anything before then.

Holla at Nerdchick for more info

She's game for this, and she knows where I live, so directions to your place wouldn't be too hard to give her

How old are your kids? Just curious since they can't pick up their own toys.

I'm not looking for parenting critiques here - no need to be sarcastic They're 3 and 2, and like all little kids they're ADD about it and require direction.

^Oh I'm not critiquing, just curious since it also said their eating areas needed to be cleaned, and age would dictate how much cleaning said areas required.

A. the kids need to learn how to put up their toys, even at a young age.
B. a housewife needs to learn to do her housekeeping herself. the husband isn't making money just so the wife can pay someone to do her job.

It took you longer to type that up than it would have taken to do the work yourself. GG.

1. They do put away their toys and I do make them clean their rooms, but they don't do it the way it needs to be done - I'm going to go with you don't have kids, so you don't know.

2. eh, fuck off, k?

3. I type lists for myself anyway, so no time lost - and I type over 80WPM so again, not much time

ANYWAY

Found someone - she's coming Monday because we don't have any overlapping free time before then. I'll BTTT this thread in the future as I get to the oh-dammit-to-hell stage again
